Brewtein, the new workout beer

Drinking a fresh beer after running a 5K is one of the best feeling ever. We know it too well. But then comes the guilt that ruins everything.

The startup Supplemental Brewing heard you all and came up with a beer that not only tastes good but also meets your fitness goals.

Ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce you to the two brand new protein beers: Brewtein and NutriBeer. Tadaa.

NutriBeer is the brewery’s lighter, low carb beer, made for the fitness-minded drinker seeking to limit calorie intake. According to the startup the beer fits into the classic light lager style with a light, crisp body, subtle citrus flavour and smooth finish.

Brewtein has a greater protein content than any other beer, packed with 7 grams of whey protein that you wouldn’t know from the taste. The beer is categorized as an American Wheat ale with a fairly light body and refreshing wheat flavour.

Illinois-based entrepeneur Blake Konrardy is currently seeking funding for those two ‘workout beers’ via the crowfunding website Kickstarter and must raise $40,000 in the next 25 days.

So if you fancy having a guilt-free beer after a hard workout, go and help the man here!

  1. Dumbest idea ever. 122 calories in exchange of 4g of protein there’s almost no nutrional value to this product. It’s better to have a glass of wine or just a regular beer.
