Last week we showed you Carlsberg’s last crazy invention: beer beauty series for men. A limited edition of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion made with Carlsberg beer.
To promote this line of products, the iconic Danish beer just released a video titled “If Carlsberg Did Haircuts”.
Following previous episodes of “If Carlsberg Did” started earlier this year, the video created by 72andSunny Amsterdam and launched on digital, social media and broadcast channels in the UK and Sweden aims to promote the brand range of grooming products.
The company brought back the “If Carlsberg Did” campaign in February after a four-years hiatus. David Scott, director of brands and insight at Carlsberg UK, said: “We decided to bring the popular concept of ‘If Carlsberg Did’ back to screens and it has been met with incredible consumer engagement. The new series plays on everyday scenarios, such as supermarket shopping and getting a haircut. This, alongside the launch of the new grooming kit has been developed to continue to drive brand awareness and trial, using situations our target market can identify with as a platform.”
Forget all the clichés of ordinary haircut like waiting a long time for your turn or making awkward small talk with the hairdresser. Between women singing in the background and the possibility of drinking a fresh pint of Carlsberg while you’re getting your new haircut, everything’s possible in “If Carlsberg Did Haircuts” crazy scenario.
Mikkel Pilemand, VP Carlsberg brand, said: “Personally I’ve always dreamed of getting my hair cut with a freshly served Carlsberg beer instead of a lukewarm coffee. Men around the world want a better haircut experience, whether that’s a stylist in Stockholm or a barber in Bangkok.”
If Carlsberg did haircuts, they would probably be the best in the world.
The message here is quite simple: Carlsberg always provides the best quality in everything the brand does, from beer to haircut, including male grooming products.
More films of the “If Carlsberg Did” series will be released over the summer.
You wish such a hairdressing salon was real, right? Us too bro, us too…
