Jambe-de-bois, product of Belgium

We warned you there wouldn’t be any article this weekend.

But we put our quick trip to Brussels to good use since we are coming back today with a pretty good recommendation for you guys.JAMBE DE BOIS

Are you familiar with the famous Belgian beer Jambe-de-bois?
No worries if not, we might be able to help you out.

Named after the 1830 Belgian revolution, Jambe-de-bois is a tripel beer brewed by Brasserie de la Senne, a brewerie based in Brussels.
With a nice hazy golden colour, its floral and fruity taste makes it a lovely beer for summer days. The beer has a scent of ripe banana and a subtle blend of old varieties of aromatic hops and its long, fine bitter taste makes it a powerful and punchy beer.

But be careful, it has 8% alcohol!

We had the chance to savour it on the lovely Place du Jeu de Balle, right in the MAROLLES JAMBE DE BOISMarolles neighbourhood, in the heart of vibrant Brussels after wandering into the daily flea market.

We. Loved. It.

If you’re not planning to go to Belgium soon, don’t panick, you should be able to find it in beer shops. Already have a brand new one from Beermoth in Manchester, which has an amazing selection of international beers.

Hope you’ll like it!
